These rules exist to ensure ethical harvests, proper game management, and compliance with Texas law.
1. Guide Requirement
All trophy hunts must be conducted with a guide unless otherwise specified in writing.
Guides have final determination on animal maturity and harvest suitability.
2. Species & Tagging
Hunters are responsible for knowing & understanding the game laws related to the species they hunt.
Texas hunting licenses and tags must be valid & current and match the species taken (e.g., whitetail, exotic, migratory, etc.).
All animals must be reported and tagged immediately upon harvest in accordance with TPWD laws.
3. Trophy Fees & Wounding Policy
Any wounded animal is considered harvested. Full trophy fees apply if blood is found.
Every effort will be made to track and recover wounded animals.
Shots should only be taken when the hunter is confident in a clean, ethical harvest. Do not shoot unless you are confident in your shot.
4. Antler Size Minimums / Animal Restrictions
Do not shoot animals below the agreed-upon trophy standard (e.g., bucks under 140” B&C).
Cull or management animals must be pre-approved by ranch staff.
Non-trophy animals taken without approval may result in additional fees or hunt termination.
5. Harvest Reporting & Field Dressing
All game must be reported to the ranch manager immediately after harvest.
Ranch staff may assist with field dressing and transportation of game as agreed upon.
Processing services (if available) may be subject to separate charges.
6. Night Hunting & Exotics
Night hunting, spotlighting, or the use of thermal/infrared equipment is only permitted with prior ranch approval and in accordance with applicable laws.
Exotics may be hunted year-round, but ethical practices and guidance still apply.
